This week, Favikon ranked me the number one marketing educator in Saudi Arabia. The list is dated July 25, 2026. It covers the top 200 creators in the country. I sit at the top of the marketing educators category; I am grateful for it. I also want to be precise about what it means.
What the ranking sees
A ranking like this measures signal. It reads reach, consistency, and the way an audience responds to what you publish. It is an external read on visibility.
That is worth something. Visibility is the first door. Nobody trusts what they cannot see.
But visibility is not the whole story. It is the surface. The deeper question sits underneath it.
The question I actually work on
I spend most of my time on a different problem. Not how visible someone is. How much standing they hold.
Standing is quieter than reach. It is what people say about you when you are not in the room. It is whether a bank, a ministry, or a cultural institution believes your judgment before you have spoken. It is the difference between an audience and authority.
Reach can be bought. Standing has to be earned. The two get confused often, and the confusion is expensive.
At Arbaaa, that distinction is the whole business. We help institutions build reputation that holds under pressure. Not louder presence. Sturdier legitimacy.
So I read this ranking the way I would advise a client to read theirs. As one signal among several. Useful, not final.
Why I still care about it
There is a reason I do not wave it away.
A number one position lowers the cost of the first conversation. It shortens the distance between me and a room I want to be in. It does some of the trust work before I arrive.
For an educator, that matters. The Basics of Marketing podcast, the platforms we run, the sessions I teach at MBSC, the work with family business leaders. All of it depends on people choosing to listen before they know me. A signal like this makes that choice easier for them.
So I will use it. I will put it to work. I will not mistake it for the finish line.
What I want the audience to take from it
If you are building your own standing, take one idea from this.
Chase the signal and the substance at the same time. Do not pick one.
Signal without substance collapses the moment someone tests it. Substance without signal never gets the chance to be tested at all. The people who last hold both.
The ranking says I am visible. My job is to make sure that visibility keeps pointing at something real.
Thank you to everyone who reads, listens, and argues with me. You are the reason the signal exists. The substance is my responsibility, and I am not done with it.
