If you’ve followed me for a while—whether on Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn—you’ve probably heard me talk about my personal brand. It's the reason I’m here today. It’s how I built Arbaaa. It’s how I’ve connected with thousands of professionals across Saudi Arabia and beyond.
I started intentionally building my brand in April 2023, and now, looking back over a full year, I can confidently say:
This was the best decision I ever made.
For a while, I wasn’t sure if it would work. I’d post videos, write insights, share stories—and it felt like shouting into a void. But then something clicked. People started noticing. The right people. The ones building brands, running companies, launching bold ideas.
And slowly, my brand became a magnet. A hub. A platform.
I’ve Been Blessed to Achieve the Following:
- Over 150,000 subscribers on YouTube
- More than 130,000 followers on Instagram
- A growing personal newsletter of 700+ readers
- Launched 12+ digital content platforms under Arbaaa
- Closed brand strategy projects with major clients across the Kingdom
- Got recognized as a voice in the marketing and branding space in Saudi Arabia
And most importantly—I get to help others tell their stories, every single day.
This journey has taught me a lot. So today, I’m giving you the 3 simple steps to start your own personal brand.
Step 1: Set the Foundation
Let’s start with the basics.
Name — I went with my full name, Ameer Albahouth. It’s personal, it’s Saudi, and it’s a name I want people to remember in the marketing world.
Profile Picture — Whether it's on LinkedIn, YouTube, or a podcast cover, a clean, professional headshot is key. People trust faces, not logos. Be real, look sharp.
Bio — Your bio is your 5-second pitch. Mine goes something like:
“Founder of Arbaaa Marketing. Host of The Basics of Marketing podcast. Helping Saudi brands grow through powerful strategy, bold content, and real stories.”
Whatever platform you’re on, your bio should say what you do, who you help, and end with a call to action.
Step 2: Pick Your Skill
For me, it was always marketing and branding.
Not just because I studied it. But because I lived it—helping companies scale, creating viral content, managing multimillion-riyal campaigns, and seeing how strategy and storytelling can completely transform a business.
But your skill could be anything:
- Writing
- Coaching
- Coding
- Design
- Strategy
- Public speaking
- Investing
- Education
Pick one. Go all in. Make it the thing you’re known for.
Step 3: Build an Audience
I chose YouTube because I wanted to teach marketing in Arabic. And I knew visual content would resonate.
I chose Instagram because I could show the behind-the-scenes of building Arbaaa.
I chose LinkedIn because it’s where business conversations happen.
But you don’t need to be on all platforms.
Pick one.
Post consistently.
Document, don’t overthink.
Your audience doesn’t need perfection. They need value and authenticity.
Step 4: Craft Your Offer
Here’s where most people get stuck.
You’ve got the skill. You’ve got the audience. Now what do you offer?
At Arbaaa, I created multiple offers:
- Marketing strategy sessions
- Podcast production
- Website creation
- Monthly retainers for content and branding
- Personal brand building services
If you’re just starting out, think small. Could you offer:
- A consultation call?
- A PDF guide?
- A custom service?
Start simple. Price it reasonably. Improve as you go.
Final Thoughts: You Can Build This Too
If you're reading this wondering, "Can I do this too?"—yes, you can.
I didn’t start with a big team. I didn’t have media connections. I started with an idea and a willingness to show up every single day.
Your name matters.
Your story matters.
Your work deserves to be seen.
The internet changed my life—and it can change yours too.
Thanks for reading.
And if you ever need help starting your brand—you know where to find me.
